15th December'2008 (Annual Function Day)
One more glorious day of our school. This year it was more important because we were celebrating the completion of two decades of achievements.
"20 Glorious Years".....It seems as if only 20 days have passed,I still remember the day when I first joined the school and how we progressed step by step with blessings of our well wishers and today we have reached to this pinnacle of success. This achievement is not sufficient, 20 years means that we are still young like a teenager. As teenage is the most crucial period in ones life same is with our school.
We should not feel satisfied with what we have achieved but this should inspire us to work harder because sky is the limit.Few think why celebrate 20years as generally 25th and 50th anniversaries are celebrated with great pomp'n'show but D.A.V Pushpanjali always thinks differently because it is better to assess ones strength and weaknesses at regular intervals.
I thank all the students, parents and the fellow teachers who made this ocassion a grand success.
In the end this saying inspires me and my fellow teachers and students:
The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
Robert Frost
